Philosophy

Jinsei Do — The Way of Life.

Sensei Navid’s martial arts system is modern and practical. He calls it Jinsei Do, a Japanese proverb translated as “The Way of Life.” It is not a single martial arts style; it is the process of creating a well-rounded martial artist.

Jinsei Do combines traditional martial art disciplines with modern fighting fundamentals in a scientific and systematic way: stand-up fighting, ground fighting, weapons defence, and the ability to adapt to different fighting styles.

WTMA believes students who commit to training become better members of society and modern-day warriors. As modern-day warriors, their duty is to bring harmony and peace to the world. Osu!

Program Details

What students learn.

Program detail pages were consolidated into the cards below so the new landing page contains the substance of the original multi-page WTMA site.

Karate + Dojo Kun

Children progress through the belt ranking system: white, red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, and black. At the end of each Shotokan training session, they recite The Dojo Kun:

  • Seek perfection of character.
  • Be faithful.
  • Endeavor.
  • Respect others.
  • Refrain from violent behavior.

Required equipment: karate gi and gloves.

Kickboxing

Students train Muay Thai, traditional kickboxing, Western boxing, and karate. Partner pad work, drills, light sparring, and optional local tournaments help students improve cardio, focus, confidence, and resilience.

Required equipment: 12–15 oz boxing or kickboxing gloves, shin protectors, mouth guard, and groin protector.

MMA + Grappling

MMA at WTMA is for intermediate and advanced students. Along with sport MMA, it includes reality-based fighting concepts such as knife/weapon awareness, multiple-person attacks, and stand-up/grappling combination techniques for real-life situations.

Required equipment: 4–6 oz MMA gloves, mouth guard, and groin protector.
